This skill filters sequencing reads by quality using Trimmomatic and fastp, applying sliding window trimming and removing low-quality bases from read ends. It discards reads that fall below thresholds for quality, length, or N content. Use it when reads have poor quality tails or require a minimum quality standard for downstream analysis.
